BABY CRIB RECALL! July 2, 2009
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of about 400,000 cribs by Simplicity, Inc. Officials say the crib's plastic hardware can break or deform, causing the drop side to detach and create a space between the rail and the crib's mattress. They say infants or toddlers can roll into the space and become entrapped, which can lead to suffocation. More here.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back. More here.

But David Traver was ultimately crowned the winner for his intricately woven beard and down-turned moustache. He had some stiff competition though. Any old cat can shin up a tree. But this brave moggy regularly takes his nine lives in his paws and climbs 13ft up the wall of a block of flats to his owner's home on the first floor.
Seven-year-old Charlie hit on the idea after growing tired of having to wait outside the shared front door to the block for someone to let him back in after he has been allowed out for some air.
Instead, he heads for the rear of the building where only a roughcast wall stands between him and the balcony of his owner's flat. Click here to see the video.
